Ernest Wesley Simmonsen,of Boise, Idaho, passed away after a prolonged illness on August 5,2023.
Ernie was born in Boise,Idaho to Wesley and Tempa Simmonsen. He was preceded in death by his parents and Niece (Renae). Ernie is survived by his children Eric Simmonsen (son) and Heather (daughter), his grandchildren Cooper and Parker Simmonsen and Noah White. Sister Joyce (Jack) Armstrong, Brother Martin (Diane) Simmonsen, Brother Chuck (Andrea) Simmonsen and his nephews Brent (Kim), Ben (Maritta), and Chris (Brittany).
Ernie graduated from Borah High School, class of 1965. He enlisted in the US Army and served in Korea (1966-1969). Besides his love for family he loved being in the outdoors camping, fishing and hunting.

A committal service will be held, 10:00 am, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise.
