Elsie (“Bonnie”) Bullock, passed away in her home on Monday, July 22nd, at the age of 95. She was born to Peter and Esther Carlson on March 3rd, 1929, in Chicago. The family moved to Idaho during the Great Depression to live on her grandmother’s farm in Hansen.

Bonnie excelled in school and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1946. She briefly attended the College of Idaho before moving back to Twin Falls. She married Paul Moseley in 1948 and had two daughters, Pamela (Jamie) and Marilyn.

During her life, she worked for the Twin Falls County Courts and for the Twin Falls School District as assistant to the superintendent. Bonnie moved to Boise in 1983 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She went back to college and earned her bachelor’s degree in social studies education in 1985 and was a substitute teacher in the Boise School District.

Bonnie married her second husband, Merrill Bullock, in 1989. They had many adventures traveling around the country in their motorhome and taking trips abroad. She loved seeing the sights and learning new things. As an avid reader and crossword puzzler, she was challenged when her eyesight failed, but through the state’s Books on Tape program, she was able to keep reading. She loved Agatha Christie novels (and had read them countless times), good food, wine, chocolate, but, most of all, she loved her family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Merrill, her parents, her sister Anne and her brothers Harold and Arnold. She is survived by her two daughters, Jamie Honey, and Marilyn Whitney (Craig) and her beloved grandchildren, Melinda Mahmud (Abyaz), Austin Barnes, Andrew James Wilson (Ashley), Tyler Barnes (Danielle), Joshua Whitney( Nikki), and Alison Bote (Giulliano). She was blessed to have 13 great grandchildren and lived to see her first great, great grandchild.

Bonnie left a wonderful legacy of humor, strength and love and will be greatly missed by her family.
