Carri Lynn Espolt was born September 28, 1978 to Loretta Lynn Espolt and Larry G. Espolt in Covina, California. Her childhood was spent in many locations including, California, Alaska, and Missouri but spent most of her childhood in Palmdale, CA. She graduated from Highland High School in 1996 and then attended Antelope Valley Community College where she was unsure of what she wanted to do in her adult life. During this time Carri was employed by Dr. Massari, DC where she decided that she loved Chiropractic care. She graduated from California State University Northridge with her Bachelor of Liberal Studies in June of 2000. Carri then was accepted into Los Angeles Chiropractic College and graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic in April of 2004. Knowing that she wanted to treat children she joined the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in December of 2004. Additionally, she was a licensed in the Webster technique in 2007.
After working for other chiropractors and realizing how exceptional she was in this profession, she decided to open Natural Life Chiropractic in Brea, CA in September of 2004. Due to Carri’s loving and caring nature, her practice immediately flourished, and she had families flocking to her for care. Carri embraced the family experience of being healthy and loved helping them through their pregnancy journeys and into the future health for moms, dads, and children. As her practice grew, Carri had to hire a full staff to make it all work. Just as she did with her patients, Carri treated her staff like family.
As her practice took off, she met the love of her life, Jason. They met in February of 2011 and were married the following year on September 1, 2012. Carri knew, and may have been very vocal about it, that children were in her immediate future. Addison was born November 5, 2013, and a short two years later Carri gave birth to her “birthday twin”, Sadie on September 28, 2015. As Carri raised her beautiful family, her practice continued to thrive.
As the world was changing, Carri and Jason decided that the best decision for their family was to relocate to Boise, ID and with a heavy heart Carri said goodbye to her patients in California and they started their journey to Boise in 2019. After a year of being in Boise, Carri couldn’t sit idle any longer and opened the new Natural Life Chiropractic in the Treasure Valley. Just like previously, Carri quickly became the doctor to see for family health and wellness and had a thriving practice once again.
In May of 2022, Carri noticed some unusual physical symptoms, and this ultimately led to her diagnosis of Glioblastoma. Carri underwent the standard of care while also making sure she stayed true to her doctor background. Through her own research and collaboration with other naturopathic doctors, Carri stayed involved in all aspects of her own care. As she navigated this road of cancer, she decided that she needed to spend more time with her family. Natural Life Chiropractic was officially closed December 31, 2022. With the support of family and community, Carri was given the opportunity to go to the Burzynski Clinic in Texas for one more chance of beating her diagnosis. Even knowing how aggressive her cancer was, Carri held onto her faith and knew whatever path she was on, that God was by her side. Carri passed away the morning of September 2, 2023, surrounded by her entire family.
Carri is survived by her husband, Jason, daughters, Addison and Sadie, stepdaughter, Amanda, stepson, Zachary, mother, Lori, sisters Kelli (John), Ashley (Nick), Daena (Greg), brother, David (Dulce) and her nieces and nephews, Paul, Paige, Gavin, Blake, Rylee, Owen, and Quinn.
A funeral service will be held, 11:00 am, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Eagle Christian Church, 100 S. Short Rd., Eagle, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am. A committal service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Rd., Boise, immediatly following.
