Dorothy "Dolly" Jean Grala

Dorothy (Dolly) Jean Grala, 90 of Boise, fond mother of Jeff, Connie (Tom) and Kathy, dear grandmother of Eric and Mark, great grandmother of Adaline, sister of Elizabeth Van Drisse and sister-in-law of Evelyn Grala and aunt to many nieces and nephews passed away on April 3, 2026. Dolly was born in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Notre Dame High School for girls, she later completed her education at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics.

In 1954 she married George in Chicago. Always one to love new surroundings, she lived in several places over the years from Illinois to Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho. New Hampshire might have been her favorite home and the one she spoke of most often. She loved road trips and searching for covered bridges throughout the Northeast. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Grala, both parents Frank and Estelle Humecke, son-in-law John Colletti, and brother-in-law Everett Van Drisse. We extend a special thanks for the care she received from the staff at Life Care Center of Treasure Valley and Blue Bird Hospice.

Dolly was a devote Catholic and in remembrance, and in lieu of flowers, please have a Memorial Mass said in her honor. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bowman Funeral home in Boise.

Dolly will be greatly missed.
