December 3, 1936 – February 6, 2025
Doris Ann Clark (Paulson) passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at the age of 88 in
Middleton, Idaho. Born on December 3, 1936, in Ames, Iowa, Doris's life was a beautiful
reflection of her gentle spirit, deep love for her family, and her dedication to a lifetime of
learning and personal growth.

Doris was raised in Ames, Iowa, where she excelled in both academics and extracurricular
activities, including marching band and tennis. Upon graduation from Luther College in
Decorah, Iowa, she began her career as a math and physical education teacher. After taking time
off to raise her three children, her passion for learning led her back into education, transitioning
to a career in computer programming. Doris made notable contributions at ITT on Vandenberg
Air Force Base in Lompoc, California.

Her 41-year marriage to Richard Clark was a cornerstone of Doris's life. Together, they enjoyed
an active life filled with travel, hiking, gardening, playing the organ, attending plays, and
ballroom dancing. They shared many cherished memories with their grandchildren, who fondly
remember the countless hours spent reading, playing at the park, and eating "little crackers."
Doris's love for hobbies spanned a wide range of activities. A lifelong tennis player, she also
enjoyed developing her gardening skills with a special love for roses. Doris was a skilled
seamstress and knitter, often creating beautiful clothing for her family. She was also an
accomplished organist and pianist, continuing to play until just months before her passing.
Her faith played a central role in her life.

Doris was an active member of the Lompoc Foursquare
Church, where she became affectionately known as the "salad lady," making the salad for their
weekly community meal for over 20 years.

In her final years, Doris lived with her daughter in McCall, Idaho, where she continued to lead an
active and fulfilling life. Doris is survived by her daughter Cindy (Mike) Voris, son Scott (Liz)
Eichberger, stepchildren Sharon (Rick) Horner, David Clark, and Wayne (Dee) Clark, along with
8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Roy
Eichberger and her beloved husband Richard.

Doris's life will be remembered for her loving nature, her unwavering faith, and the joy she
brought to everyone around her.

She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and
ability to make every moment special.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to The Cottages of Middleton and White
Oak Hospice for their compassionate care, as well as to Kathy, Pattie, and Missy for their love
and support.
