Dora Louise Bates, 77, passed away in Boise, Idaho with family by her side on October 19, 2026. Bornin Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, Dora will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and caring nature.

A loving person, Dora, showed kindness and compassion to everyone she met. She had a special way of caring for others. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of those around her, friends and family alike.

Dora was a devoted mother to her two sons, James and Mark Bates, and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Natasha and Wyatt. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Fred. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her and the love she gave throughout her life.

Dora also had a special love for gospel music and, of course, the Beatles. One of her favorite songs was “Here Comes the Sun.” This beloved song will always hold a special place in remembering Dora. Like the sunshine, Dora’s memory will continue to bring warmth and light into the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Though Dora’s passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of her friends and loved ones, the love she shared and kindness she showed will continue to live on through the lives she touched. Dora will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
