Donald “Don” Rosholm, 83, died on October 7, 2026, in Boise, Idaho with his son and daughter at his side.

A longtime Southern California resident who later made his home in Idaho, Don lived a life marked by an extraordinary work ethic and an appetite for learning, and a seemingly endless collection of projects.

For nearly 40 years, Don worked in security at Disneyland, where he became a familiar face to generations of cast members and guests. He took great pride in his years as a Disneyland cast member and accumulated a lifetime of stories from behind the scenes at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Alongside his work at Disneyland, Don built a career in information technology, including positions with the County of Orange and Lockheed Martin. He also taught hunter safety courses, sharing his knowledge with generations of young people, including Boy Scouts.

Don's interests extended well beyond his professional life. He and his late wife, Deborrah, shared a passion for roller coasters, traveling around the world to experience renowned rides. He loved Western history and cowboy culture, his work in real estate, working with his hands, and finding new things to learn, build, or repair.

His drive and resourcefulness were evident from an early age. Growing up in Southern California, he built his paper route into the largest in the Times-Mirror area. He was also a young man of varied talents: a yo-yo champion, a fast-draw sharpshooter, and someone who could even use a bullwhip to knock a cigarette from behind his younger brother's ear.

From his earliest paper route to his decades at Disneyland, Don was rarely content to stand still. He was always learning, working, or finding something else that needed doing.

He is survived by his son, Sean Rosholm and his wife, Jessica; daughter, Joanna Rosholm and her husband, Aharon; his four grandchildren, Landon Rosholm, Nolan Rosholm, Josie Rosholm-Wasserman, and Rex Rosholm-Wasserman; and his niece and nephew, K.C. Jacobson and Robert Rosholm, children of his late brother, Robert.

A funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange, California, on Thursday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California.
