Donald LaVern Deleski, was born June 16, 1931, in Winner, South Dakota, to William J. and Josephine (Gizinski) Deleski. The family moved to Idaho in 1939.
Donald graduated from Burley High School, served four years in the U.S. Air Force, then attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, earning a B.A. degree in Journalism.
He worked for seven years for the Idaho Falls Post-Register, then accepted a position as administrative assistant with the Idaho Medical Association, and clerk for the Idaho State Board of Medicine. He was appointed Executive Director for the Board of Medicine in 1975, when it ended joint operations with the IMA, serving until his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by grandchildren, Brandon and Madeline Holliday, Chicago, and a niece, Nancy Henley, Twin Falls. He was preceded in death by Katherine, Chicago, his daughter; a brother, Raymond, Twin Falls, a sister, Agnes, Neillsville, Wisconsin, and by Katherine, a sister who died in infancy.
Since 2015 he resided at Grace Assisted Living on Allumbaugh.
