Donald “Don” Joseph Richard, 71, of Boise, passed away February 14, 2024. Don was born on April 25, 1952, to mother, Dona M. Forges and father, Joseph Richard. Don grew up in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, attending Horseshoe Bend elementary school, and later Emmett High School.
After high school, Don enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served 4 years before his honorable discharge in 1973. Upon the completion of his military service, Don returned to Idaho, and lived in Cascade while working as a handyman until moving to Boise in 2012.
Don married the love of his life, Lori Crist, on March 10, 1993, at the Chapel of the Bells in Reno, Nevada.
Some of Don’s hobbies included hunting with his brother and other family members, working out daily, carpentry and building things. He even loved gambling in Nevada. Mostly Don loved spending his time with his wife Lori and being the “King of his castle.”
Don is survived by his wife, Lori; his boys, Ben (Kathlyn), Joe and Tim (Natalie); step-daughters, Renea, and Rochelle; along with lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Richard; mother, Dona Richard (Forges); and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held, 10:00 am, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City.
