Caldwell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Caldwell, who left us on November 4, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. A devoted father, son, and grandfather, Donald embodied love and dedication, with his commitment evident in every aspect of his life.

Born on October 24, 1959, to Donald F. Caldwell and Sandra S. Caldwell. Donald graduated from Notus High School in 1978. During his school years, he was active in 4-H, football, and track. After graduation, he began farming alongside his family until he turned 40. He then utilized his "farmer's can-fix-anything" attitude by working on concrete mixer trucks for 25 years, retiring in 2025.

On November 27, 1982, he married Julie Riggs in Parma, and together they settled in the Middleton area to grow their family. Cora Marie was born in 1989, instantly wrapping Don around her finger. Douglas Albert arrived in 1991, and it didn’t take long for the little brother to soon become the big brother. Donald and Julie enjoyed many years of traveling, camping, off-roading, and attending numerous school activities and football games to cheer on their children.

Donald took immense joy in being a grandfather. His grandchildren, Liam Kinney, Arianna Garcia, and Henry Garcia, brought him boundless happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was known for being a wonderful grandpa, often giving rides on his tractor and sharing ice cream for breakfast.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Caldwell; children Cora Kinney (James) and Douglas Caldwell (Danielle); his father, Donald F. Caldwell; and his mother, Sandra S. Caldwell. He is also mourned by his father-in-law, Ray Riggs, and extended family.

Donald is preceded in death by his grandparents, brother Dwayne, and 3 uncles, Myles Clough, Dan and Dale Caldwell. His mother in law Mary Riggs. His legacy of love will continue to thrive through his family.

Rest in peace, Donald. Your love will guide us always.
