Obituary

Dicksie LaVere Page passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 surrounded by her husband of 52 years, Frank D. Page, along with her girls and her boy.

Born on October 19, 1955 in Caldwell, Idaho, Dicksie was the daughter of Edna Ellen Martin and Richard Verdin Smith. Dicksie spent most of her life in Idaho, growing up with her siblings with whom she shared many fond memories.

In 1974, Dicksie married Frank to build their own life which included the births of their two daughters, Jennifer Page and Francesca Page. Frank has two other children, Angela Betts and Christopher Bell, whom Dicksie loved as her own. When their daughter Jennifer passed away, Dicksie and Frank chose to raise their grandchild, Kassidy Page, surrounding her with unwavering love and stability. Dicksie was a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them.

Dicksie was well known for taking care of others and truly was the glue of the family. Organizing family events and gatherings was her way of expressing her love and ensuring that family bonds remained strong. She was always there—caring for her sisters and brothers, her nieces and nephews, and so many others who depended on her. Dicksie was a caregiver at heart.

Dicksie is survived by her husband, Frank; daughters Francesca Page and Angela Betts and her husband Andy; son Christopher Bell and his wife Claire; sisters Anne DeJaynes and Verda Chavez; brother Jesse Smith; grandchildren Kassidy Page, Alex Betts, Becca Walker, Reeve Betts, Nathan Betts, Mason Betts, Isabelle Betts, Noah Betts, Olivia Betts, Christopher Bell Jr, Victoria Heritage and Bryce Darnell; great grandchildren Embrie, Jaxon, Lincoln, Aberham, Charlotte and Everett. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Page; her parentsEdna Ellen Martin and Richard Verdin Smith; her sisters Christine Fox-Miller, Mary Moyer, Melody Smith-Jorgensen, and Susan Smith; and her brother Martin Sanford.

A graveside service will be held on May 29, 2025 at 12:00pm at Dry Creek Cemetery located at 9600 N Hill Road Boise, Idaho. There will be a potluck meal at the Ladybird Park at Les Boise Park Fairgrounds, Boise, ID, please bring a dish and your favorite memory/funny story to share.

We were so blessed to have an amazing team from Hospice, especially Nathan and Roberta. Nathan was amazing in those final moments and the care that Roberta gave will stay in our hearts forever.
