Diane Elizabeth Kearns

January 22, 1998 — September 8, 2025

Boise

Diane E. Kearns, 27, of Boise passed away September 8, 2025.

Diane Elizabeth Kearns was born January 22, 1998 in Boise, Idaho to Tony and Amy Kearns. She attended Lowell and Cynthia Mann Elementaries, Hillside and Riverglen Junior Highs, and Capitol High School - graduating in 2016. She enjoyed hanging out with friends, laughing and goofing around.

Diane will be remembered for her warm heart, creative spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. She found great fulfillment in painting and drawing, often expressing herself through her artwork. Music was also a constant companion in her life - especially classic rock. She had a deep appreciation for the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Queen, and their songs were the soundtrack to many of her happiest moments.

In addition to her artistic side, Diane was a talented swimmer who found joy and freedom in the water. She loved swimming and participated on the Lowell Swim Team from the age of 5 and for Capital High during her high school years. She loved spending time in nature, drawing peace from hikes in the Foothills and Camel’s Back Park. Another of her favorite past times was building Lego sets, including the Beatles Yellow Submarine, Disney’s Stitch, and an array of flowers and succulents. She also had a lifelong love of animals, spending many childhood days visiting the zoo with her parents.

Those who knew Diane best knew that Halloween was her favorite holiday. She looked forward to it each year and had already begun preparing for this season’s merriments. She had recently shared to social media that “Bats are just Halloween butterflies.” According to Diane, Halloween started after Christmas and ended right before Christmas.

In her later years, Diane shared her home with her beloved cat, Freddy, and with Gabe, the love of her life, whom she cherished deeply.

Diane was loved by her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love of music will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Diane is survived by the love of her life, Gabriel Wise, mother Amy Kearns, grandparents Scott (Sue) Johnson and Janelle (Tom) Owings, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Tony Kearns and grandparents Marvin and Joann Kearns.
