Diane Rene Baune

Diane Rene Baune was born to Ardeth and Alvin Ralstin on January 16, 1953, passed to the spirit world surrounded by her loving family on Jan 20, 2026.

Diane grew up on the prairie near Craigmont, Idaho, attended Nezperce Schools and graduated from high school in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She married Ron Baune and had two children Jennifer Baune / Jay Goodman and Marcus Baune / Kristin Baune. Diane also had one bonus child, her grandson Jordon Baune, who we all know was the apple of her eye. Diane had three other very loved grandchildren, Skye, Mia and Karley that she loved to spoil and spend time with. Diane had three sisters Yvette Baune / Terry Baune, Charlene Ralstin and Lynn Wessels, two brothers Kevin Ralstin / Barbara Jackson and Mike Ralstin / Jill Ralstin and many nieces and nephews who she always kept up to date on. There was no doubt that she loved and cherished her family.

Diane graduated from Boise State University at the top of her class with a degree in Criminal Justice. During this time, her work was published numerous times. Diane went on to work for the Idaho Department of Corrections serving her community and trying to make a difference in the lives of the people she was helping.

Diane loved growing flowers and was an avid cook. Her favorite place to visit was the Oregon coast and she spent many happy times there. She believed in helping others and donated each month to numerous charities such as the Idaho Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.

Diane was met in the spirit world by her mother and father, her daughter Christy Lee and the many animals that were loved by her over the years, most recently her buddy Jax. She has left us all with her sense of tradition and family and will be missed very, very much.
