Dena Lorraine Lockwood

Dena Lorraine (Beckman) Lockwood was born in Boise, Idaho on November 26, 1964. She spent her childhood growing up in the “North End” of Boise, where it forever held a special place in her heart. Dena graduated from Capital High School in 1983.

Dena had a variety of careers over the span of her lifetime. She bartended, worked for Western State Cat, Lithia Motors and found her forever career with Kelly Services. Dena worked as a recruiter and progressed through the company to become a project manager for Kelly OCG.

Dena had many passions and hobbies that kept her heart full and her life busy. She loved Boise State football and spent many games cheering on her favorite team and players. Dena enjoyed car racing and loved to cheer on her dad (Dewey), husband (Linsey) and stepson (Cory) at Meridian Speedway. She was an avid gardener and planted a variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers at her home in Nampa. Dena loved to ride her bike down the greenbelt, take her dogs for walks and ride her Peloton. She was a social butterfly who loved a good happy hour! Dena’s favorite place to enjoy a seasonal sour was at PreFunk bar in downtown Nampa.

Dena and Linsey spent twenty-six years together creating beautiful memories and traditions. They were married at the Caldwell Courthouse on November 13, 2015. Some of Dena and Linsey’s favorite pastimes together were going to concerts, attending family events, traveling and spending time with their animals. You could catch the two of them trying all of the new restaurants and bars around the area – always laughing and sharing jokes.

Dena is survived by her husband Linsey Lockwood of Nampa, stepson Cory (Tara) Lockwood of Caldwell, grandson Luke Lockwood of Caldwell, father Dewey (Diana) Beckman of Winnemucca, mother Karen Taylor of Boise, brother Lee “Otis” Beckman of Boise, and brother JW (Amanda) Straight of Boise. Dena leaves behind a mother-in-law, numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and many close friends and co-workers.

Dena was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Leland Lockwood of Nampa.
