Deanna  Egan Bennett

Deanna  was  born  on 03/31/1937 in Monroe UT to Wren B. and Anona K. Egan.

In 1949, at the age of 12, Deanna’s  parents separated  which was much more of a hardship than today.

Deanna  graduated  from West High School in Salt Lake class of 1955.

Deanna  married Charles William Bennett on 12/23/1955 in Salt Lake City, UT.   One year and a month later they had me (Layne Charles Bennett) in 1957.

With a lot of nudging from her and her father, Charlie graduated from the University of Utah in Accounting.  He then landed a job with the Bureau of Reclamation.

A few years later their second son Trent Willian was born in 1963 and  their third son Troy Wren born in 1967.

Soon after Troy was born the Bureau transferred the family to Ephrata, Washington.  Deanna was Club Woman of the year in the local JCs.  By 1970 the Bureau transferred the family to Boise, Idaho.

Deanna  became involved with the Red Cross.  With her rare Rh negative blood, over the years,  she earned her 10 gallon pin.

Shortly after the enjoyment of Troy returning from his Equador mission , they had to begin the losing battle of  Troy’s cancer.  Her faith in the church helped her cope and survive the late 1980’s.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cabin in Atlanta, Idaho.

She cared for her mother in her final days.  After her mother passed they moved into her house due to Charlie’s emphysema.  A few years later he passed away.

Trent moved in with Deanna for a year or so until he also passed  away.

Deanna  and I became closer after Trent was gone.  I was lucky because I could always make her laugh.  She felt herself sinking and a good laugh gave her hope.

Everybody loved my MOM.
