David R. Nelson Jr.

David R. Nelson, JR. Left his earthly body, Saturday, February 28, 2026, and is now in the heavenly realm.

Born in Chicago August 26, 1938, to D. R. Nelson, Sr. and Mary Kersey Nelson. He was the oldest brother to Richard and John and graduated from Roosevelt H. S. In Seattle in 1957.

David lived in Ill., Va., Canada, Ca., Wt., Az., and ID. Many life experiences were had — traveling with a friend cross-country, working at a freight co. In CA., jewelry business, AZ., monument business, ID, became a top-recognized photographer in AZ and hynotherapist in ID.

In 1995, he married Karen Purdy and they celebrated 31 years on Valentine's Day. Fishing and cruising were his passions and they went to Mexico, Belize, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Aruba and Europe. He was a member of the Boise Eagle's Lodge for 15 years and a Life Member of Mtn. Home Elks Lodge #2276.

David's Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 pm, Friday, April 10, 2025 at Wright Congregational United Church of Christ, 4821 W. Franklin Rd., Boise, Idaho.
