David Hult Larson

Jul 8, 1951 — Oct 16, 2026

Meridian, Idaho

David Hult Larson, age 75, of Meridian, Idaho, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2026 surrounded by loving family. David had an infectious laugh, and he was a natural leader who could light up any room. He will be profoundly missed by his dear family and friends.

David was born on July 8, 1951 in Omaha, Nebraska, to loving parents David Brooks and Gladys Mildred Larson. He graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1969 and Olivet College of Michigan in 1973. On May 11, 1974, he married his high school sweetheart Nancy DeSandy. David worked as a self employed manufacturer representative for 41 years.

A devoted servant of Christ, he attended St. Michael Lutheran Church in Canton, Michigan, Crossroads in Naperville, Illinois, Calvary Chapel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Calvary Chapel Eagle in Eagle, Idaho. Throughout their marriage he and Nancy lived in the midwestern states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois, but he especially loved retiring in the small mountain town of Signal Mountain Tennessee. In 2022 David and Nancy moved to Meridian, Idaho to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. No matter where David moved, God showered him with the blessings of many friendships. He helped facilitate small groups and men’s ministries. He actively helped people in recovery. His favorite sayings were “You were born on purpose for a purpose”, “You can’t have joy without Jesus in your life and heart!”, and “How can I make your day better?”. David’s favorite attribute was Gratitude and he put it into action.

David loved playing football in his earlier years, skiing, and playing softball on the St. Michael team. He was proud of his Swedish heritage in which rotter (family roots) was prominent in his life. When he retired he became a passionate woodworker and made many cherished pieces.

David is preceded in death by his parents, David and Millie Larson. He is survived by Nancy Larson, his loving wife of 52 years; his daughters Sara Buscaglia (Tom), Brooke Larson (Shaun), and Carin Corey (Clark); his sisters Ann White (Randy), and Linda Danforth (Jim); and his nine grandchildren of whom he was Pop to some and Poppy to others, Isaac, Asher Yuri, Ila, Arlo, Hawk, Stoney, and twins Emerson and Millie; and many nieces and nephews.
