David Harold Frost, born August 28, 1941, in Boise, Idaho to Harold Raymond and Alta Myra (Jones) Frost passed on April 14, 2025, in Boise, Idaho, at St. Alphonsus Hospital, following a stroke. His wife and daughter were able to comfort him, until he could leave his painful body behind and join the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dave spent his entire childhood and most of his adult life, in Meridian, Idaho. Following graduation, he joined the US Army, where he served 3 years. Later, he joined the Idaho Army National Guard, as an aircraft mechanic, where he worked until his retirement in 2001.
Dave married Annette Updike on April 23, 1971. They have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
He then went to work for Lowe’s, in their hardware department. He also helped Annette, with a house cleaning business, she started following her retirement.
Dave loved aircraft, cars, family, desserts, and tolerated Annette’s love to travel. Dave had a great sense of humor and was easy to be around. He was a quiet, kind and loving man and will be missed by many.
Dave was proceeded in death by his parents, Harold and Alta, and his cousins and Bill and Dan Updike.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Annette; daughter – Kimberly (Torin) Oberlindacher and their daughters Katelyn, Brooke and Addison, all of Boise; a son – Michael (Marsha) Frost and their children Ian and Kippy of Coquille, OR; a sister – Joyce (Gary) Adams of Nampa, ID. SIL: Cathy (Jim) Schooler Meridian, ID. Jackie (Bill) Stallings of Wenatchee, WA; Denise Updike of Boise; cousin – Dick (Sue) Frost, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held, 2:00 pm, Monday, May 12, 2025, at Ten Mile Christian Church, 3500 W. Franklin Rd, Meridian, Idaho. A private family committal service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, with a military honors.
