Darlene Quinn Richardson was born November 2, 1940 to Kenneth and Eunice Quinn in American Falls, ID. Growing up on the Quinn ranch in Roy, Idaho with her two siblings, Darrell and Merna, she learned the value of hard work, which helped her later in life as a devoted wife and working mother. Darlene married the love of her life Frank Richardson on August 12, 1961 and were together for 58 years until he passed away in 2019. They had three wonderful children together, Scott, Frank, and Dawndra. After 25 years of working her way up at US Bank to Assistant VP and Manager of the Account Service Center, she retired. She then spent her spare time doing things she loved: volunteering at her church, becoming an essential member of the American Legion Auxiliary Boise Chapter, camping, picking huckleberries, and making her coveted dish scrubbies. When she wasn’t doing those things, she was busy making her house a place of love and fun for her five grandchildren who spent many summers and Christmases there creating cherished memories. She made her house feel magical and welcoming to all who entered. Darlene was there for anyone who needed help, whether they were family or friends. Her natural ability to generate light and love everywhere she went made everyone want to be around her. Her loving and caring nature made her a pillar of her community in the church, neighborhood, and Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents (Kenneth and Eunice),siblings (Merna and Darrell), and husband (Frank). Her legacy lives on through her children (Scott, Frank, and Dawndra), grandchildren (Daniel, Kendra, Kelci, Sean, and Sid) and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 16, 2023 at City Hope Church, 8650 W. Fairview Ave., Boise.
