Dale H. Wheadon
In loving memory of Dale H Wheadon who passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was born on August 22, 1939, to John and Essie Holt Wheadon in Murray, Utah. He was raised and attended school in South Jordan, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah with a business degree. He faithfully served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand. He was married to Jonne Ashton in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 17, 1967. Shortly after their marriage, he was transferred to Boise, Idaho with Sinclair Oil where he lived until his passing.
Dale worked in the oil related industry all his career. His two children, Jeffrey, and Stephanie and his four grandsons were his pride and joy. He loved attending their activities, teaching them to fish, waterskiing and enjoying the outdoors together, as well as taking family vacations together with Hawaii being one of the favorites.
Dale was an example of service whether in his church callings, family, or community.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jonne Wheadon, son, Jeffrey Wheadon, daughter, Stephanie Olmo (Josh), and four grandsons Nicholas Olmo (Jeana), Jeffrey Olmo, Jacob Olmo, and Luke Olmo also his sister Carol Rees (Don).
Preceding him in death are his parents John and Essie Holt Wheadon, his brother, Lawrence Wheadon (Carla) and sister, Evelyn Lehmitz (Dean).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Jordan, Utah. The building is located at 1239 W Country Creek Dr., South Jordan, Utah.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
