Dale Clyde Fishwild, age 99, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on October 30, 2025, in Kuna, Idaho. He was born on February 8, 1926, in Ferndale, Michigan, to Charles Henry Fishwild and Evelyn (Ryan) Fishwild.
Dale attended Wayne State University, where he pursued his studies in pharmacy. During his internship at Cunningham Drugs in Ferndale, Michigan, he met the love of his life, Verta Mae “Billie” LaLone. The two were married in June of 1946 in Michigan and shared many devoted years together.
Dale dedicated his professional life to serving others as a pharmacist, including his work at Pontiac General Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Following his retirement, Dale and Billie moved to Boise, Idaho, to be closer to family.
Faith and service were central to Dale’s life. He and Billie were active members of the Community of Christ Church. Dale faithfully served in the Priesthood, holding the offices of Teacher, Elder Priest, and High Priest. He was later called to the office of Evangelist and also served as Pastor, roles he carried out with deep commitment and compassion.
Together, Dale and Billie loved traveling in their motor home throughout the Pacific Northwest, including two memorable trips to Alaska. They especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories side by side.
For the final five years of his life, Dale resided with his son Jim Fishwild and daughter-in-law Jerie in Kuna, Idaho, where he was lovingly cared for and surrounded by family.
Dale is survived by his son Jim Fishwild and wife Jerie of Kuna, Idaho; grandson Adam Fishwild of Boise, Idaho; granddaughter Jennifer (Riopelle) Parant and husband Keith Parant, and great-grandchildren Zachery and Zoe Parant of Hayden, Idaho; and his brother Graham Fishwild and wife Brenda of Waterford, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Fishwild and Evelyn (Ryan) Fishwild; his beloved wife Verta Mae “Billie” LaLone; his sister Betty-Marie Evelyn Fishwild (Gerzanics) Ruggles; and his sister Yvonne “Bonnie” Wood.
Dale will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to family, and a life well lived in service to others.
