Connor Brock Powell was born on April 10, 1993, at Gritman Memorial Hospital in Moscow, Idaho, to Don Carl and Kelly Ray Powell. Weighing in at birth at eleven pounds and seven ounces with a head full of red curly hair. Connor was the darling of the maternity ward and the apple of Carl and Kelly’s eye.
At the age of six months the family relocated to Boise, Idaho. A couple of years later Connor was thrilled to take on the role of big brother to his baby sister, Caitryn. Protector, teacher, and occasional partner in mischief were some of the other hats that Connor wore growing up with his sister. Boy Scouts, soccer, swimming lessons, and karate were activities that he enjoyed. Connor attended several local schools including Frank Church High School. He also benefitted from utilizing programs in early adulthood such as Life’s Kitchen where he honed his foodservice skillset. He worked for McDonald’s and Burger King, and then managed a Pita Pit restaurant in Nampa.
In 2016 he welcomed his son, Andrew into this world with Caitlin Tipps. Connor considered this event the crowning jewel of his life. Never, ever, has there been a time that seemed more fulfilling and all around joyful than this in his life.
Along with other typical interests at this age, Connor assisted working security for Pandemonium Con and enjoyed other gatherings like it and made lifelong friends during the pursuit of these interests.
Connor was naturally a “no judgement” listener and peacemaker. He wouldn’t hesitate to give the shirt off his back, even if it was everything he had.
He is survived by one son, his mother, one sister, maternal grandparents, one niece, one nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2009.
