Obituary

Cheryl Jean Densley Perrin was born to Ralph Densley and Marilyn Stone Densley on March 19, 1947 in Spanish Fork, Utah. She also lived in Price Utah and American Fork, Utah. Cheryl is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Cheryl attended school at American Fork high school but graduated from Provo high school in 1965. Cheryl was the oldest of five children. She loved her brothers and sisters and often talked about them. Her playmate as a child was her sister one of her best friends Peg Slagowski. Cheryl often talked about her high school days of toilet papering Main Street, rock hunting and other fun escapades with her friend Anne. She was in the pep club. Cheryl was nominated to be Miss Utah because she was a daughter of an Utah Pioneer.

Cheryl attended Patricia Stevens finishing school. And began working in Provo as an interior designer she began her career at Sears department stores and loved working with people in their homes. She attended college at Brigham University and stopped her junior year. She soon began her interior design career working at Taylor's department store in Provo, Utah. 

Cheryl moved to Kirkland Washington and helped manage her parents Hallmark store. The Hallmark store is where she met Ronald Robert Perrin when he was on a military leave they fell in love and got married in 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple. The couple was soon blessed with three children Rebekah Rose, Deborah, Anne, and Rachel Lyn. Cheryl continued to work for herself as an interior designer for 30 years. She divorced her husband in 1998 due to abuse. She moved to Boise in 1999 and settled in Meridian two years later. Idaho falls is where she raised her children and Boise. 

She was a substitute teacher for the West Ada school district for 25 years. She worked at Costco on the weekends and she took care of her and children as she retired slowly. She became a full-time Nana to Eden Sophie, Mason Taylor, Liam, Daniel, and Isabelle love as well as Noelle Janene as long as she could, she loved them so much she called them her Littles. Cheryl is a breast cancer survivor. Cheryl is a domestic violence survivor.

She enjoyed her trip to Paris with her friend Barbara Haines. She even enjoyed Disney land in Europe when she went to Paris. She loved to be bare foot and hiked the Grand Canyon and Timpanogos bare foot too. Cheryl enjoyed chocolate, food, grapes, Olive Garden, Kona Grill, she loved the soft ice cream at Dairy Queen, gardening and flowers. She loved to go to the temple. She served in the temple for many years in Idaho Falls where we grew up. Cheryl loves her savior and shared her testimony with many. Cheryl died peacefully at home on June 5, 2026.

Cheryl is survived by her three daughters Rebekah Rose Barney of Meridian, Idaho Deborah Anne Young (Taylor) of Star, Idaho Rachel Lyn Perrin of Caldwell, Idaho. Her grandchildren, Eden Sophie, Young, Isabelle Love Barney, Liam Daniel Kennedy, Mason Taylor Young and Noelle Janene. She proceeded in death by her parents, Ralph Densley, and her mother Marilyn Stone Densley.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 11:00-12:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4505 Linder Road Meridian, Idaho 83646.  A graveside service will be held  at 1:00 pm following the viewing at the Star Cemetery.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bowmanfuneral.com
