Charles Franklin Chandler, 72, of Robie Creek, ID, died August 17 of natural causes. Services will be conducted at Bowman Funeral Home Sep. 6 at 10:30 AM with burial following at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Frank was born in Portland, OR on October 20, 1950 to James and Marie (Glover) Chandler. His family moved to Boise, ID where he went to school and joined the Air Force in August of 1969. He served 36 years retiring in December of 2005 as a Senior Master Sargent E-8. This is where Frank met the love of his life Onita (Foster) Chandler. Frank had an extreme personality when it came to his hobbies and family. If he wasn’t on the race track, he was on his way to watch a race. Frank is survived by his boys: Jesse (Heidi) Massengale, EJ (Mercedes) Massengale, and Nicholas McNees; siblings: Willie (Sandy) Chandler, Danny Chandler, Wanda (Doug) Huber, Joe Chandler, Sue (Dean) Sigman, several nephews and nieces and grand children. He was surpassed by his parents and his bride, Onita. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his sister-in-law Onie Mansor for her special care as well as Horizon Home Health, Dr. G, the PA’s and nurses at the VA and Lucy, his home aid for taking such great care of him.
