Casey Cornelius Masmeyer

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Casey Cornelius Masmeyer, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend. Casey passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, unwavering love, and a life marked by humility, integrity, and faith in God.

Born on August 9, 1947, in Katwijk, Netherlands to Gerritt and Tina Masmeyer. They later moved to Canada, and then found his home in the United States. Casey proudly served his country in Vietnam. He enlisted for a second tour as an Army Ranger. In his younger years, he worked as a dedicated ironworker, known for his skills, determination, and unshakable work ethic.

On July 2, 1977, Casey married the love of his life, Tammie Masmeyer. Together they shared nearly 48 years of unwavering devotion and partnership. He was a dedicated father to Jeff, Levi (Kortney) and Travis (Samantha), and a proud and playful grandfather to Sierra, Karley, GW, Riata, Gentry, and Darby. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Masmeyer, whose memory remained close to Casey’s heart.

A man of deep faith, Casey lived his beliefs. He found peace in prayer, strength in God’s word, and purpose in serving others through love, loyalty, and hard work. His faith guided every part of his life and was evident in the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and grace.

Later in life, Casey found great joy in working on his small ranch, spending time outdoors, woodworking, and most of all, being with his family. Whether fixing a fence or sharing a quiet moment on the porch, he found happiness in life’s simple, meaningful moments.

Those who knew Casey will remember him as a man of few words and steadfast principles—a steady presence, a loving soul, and a humble example of what it means to live well.

Casey Masmeyer will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered—for his strength, his faith, and the quiet legacy of love he leaves behind.
