Our Mom’s Story
I came into the world on April 8, 1925, in the small town of Albion, where I attended school all the way through High School. My friend, Donna Hepworth and I were chosen cheerleaders. We felt pretty important.
After graduating, Dean Chatburn and I were married on May 19, 1945. We left for Amarillo, Texas right after the wedding. He was in the service. After returning and making Boise our home, we had 3 wonderful kids, DeAnn, Dennis and David.
I later attended Links Business School. After I finished, I got a job with the Department of Transportation, that I had for many years.
Dean and I were later divorced and I had several treasured friends and we decided to see the world. We went to many places, Boston, Martha’s Vineyard, Greece, China and Spain with DeAnn and Joe.
After retiring and traveling, I volunteered for the Elks Rehab.
I count my blessings every day for the wonderful life I have had with my family and close friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
