In Loving Memory of Carole Ann Bowman
Carole Ann Bowman, born on December 20, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of George and Ann DeVries. Carole’s journey began in Chicago, and after a move to California, she later met the love of her life, Bill, at a party in Canoga Park. A spark ignited, and they were united in marriage on March 6, 1965, embarking on a beautiful journey together.
Carole was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Kym Bowman and Tommy Bowman, and a cherished mother-in-law to Michelle. She embraced the role of Oma with joy and warmth, adoring her three grandchildren Chase (27) (Meredith) Lind, Lanyell Bowman (25), and Tanner Lind (23), as well as her beloved great-grandson, Charlie (4).
Survived by her sister Linda (John) DeLuca, Carole leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Carole dedicated her professional life to Simi Valley High School, where she served as a dedicated staff secretary. Additionally, she pursued her passion for baking with her cake business, “Carole’s Creative Cakes.”
In her leisure time, Carole found joy in reading, knitting, and tending to her garden in the fall and spring. She delighted in watching the Olympics and took great pleasure in decorating her home for all celebrations, with a special fondness for Christmas. Carole was also an avid football fan and knew football stats and other player information better than any sportscaster! She loved the Boise State Football and was a proud Boise Bronco fan. Family and traditions were at the core of her being, and she adored every moment spent with her loved ones.
Carole’s compassionate spirit extended to her love for animal rescues. Her sweet pup named Heidi was a rescue from Fuzzy Paws Rescue. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Fuzzy Paws Rescue in Carole’s name, supporting a cause that was close to her heart.
A visitation to celebrate the life of Carole Ann Bowman will take place on February 2, from 5-7 PM at Bowman Funeral Home 10254 W. Carlton Bay Drive, Garden City, Idaho 83714. The family kindly requests that attendees bring any pictures of gifts, cakes, and knitted items that Carole lovingly crafted for them, along with treasured photographs and favorite memories. These sentimental contributions can be shared with Kym Bowman.
May her warmth, love, and cherished memories live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
