Carol Jean Ogburn

The spirt-energy known as “Carol Jean Ogburn” departed her cherished earthly body on September 17, 2026. Her breath became air. Carol entered Earth through the biological/cultural family of Katharine Jones and Gene Ogburn on January 18, 1946. She was accompanied in her family of origin by outstanding sisters - sisters of lifelong support and love - Kit, Elizabeth, and Cindy. While her parents strove to do well for their children, they were each often controlled by their own childhood sufferings. From an early age Earth Carol wanted to understand this unrest, this disconnect, this disruption, this hurt and pain. To this striving she was a constant learner, taking each occasion of life to inquire more, to learn, to heal her own wounds and to evolve, to know Spirit - that beyond the physical and yet a constant part of the physical. From early years on, Carol had a deep connection with the mystery and majesty of Nature, constantly feeling the support, the grounded nature of Mother Nature/Earth - the awe. Three significant partners in life accompanied her, each for a period of time, each with their own lessons/gifts offered: Allen, Steven, and Kim. A charming, vivacious, sensitive daughter - Meghan, brought her many truths, many lessons of love; and later in life two beautiful granddaughters - Zemyna and Zosia. Many others came for some time, gave, shared and then went on. Aunts, and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, life friends, extended family all were a part of this movement. Each was important. Special sisters and brothers of spirit stood, knelt, wept, and deeply shared with her - Wallis, Neale, Jan, Millie, Aubrey, and Jay. Carol is forever grateful for their time, their love, their commitment, their openness, their sharing. In later years, Carol also had the pleasure of the spirit of community through her association with Boise UU Fellowship and her ACBL friends. And not to forget, in times of stress, aloneness, sorrow and joy, her spirit companions in fur pajamas - Gretchen, Ashes, Velvet, Aidan, Neva, Sam, and Rose. May we love Earth and each other well. . . . No contributions necessary. Just strive to be truly with each other as your ever deepening, expanding whole self and with the Earth and Sky as our precious Mother and Father. In devotion to the ever loving, ever evolving Ground of Being, Ali, God, Krishna, Spirit. We are One. We are Love. May we know. With immense gratitude for so many who have made my life journey, and especially these last months, one of wholeness. Your support and love are cherished. The echoes of that support and love never cease.
