Carol Lynn Tice, age 67, died peacefully on July 27, 2023. She will be forever remembered as a perfect sister, a loving aunt, a dedicated daughter, and most importantly, a wonderful, fun, devoted and loving mother. She will be missed by true family and her family of caring friends.
Carol was born on April 3, 1956 in Abilene, Texas, the 4 th of 5 independent, mouthy, and trusted siblings. She graduated from Cherry Creek High School in Denver, received her BS from the University of Northern Colorado, and her MBA from University of Denver. She was the child our parents should have had first, as they possibly would never have had any more, because Carol was a perfect daughter. Her siblings can, and do, remember all the foolishness and trouble caused as we grew up, but Carol literally never ever caused any trouble. She accomplished much in her professional life, working for Mobil Oil and Hewlett-Packard, and then forming her own corporation, CTD Inc., which was rebranded ‘Land Records Research Corporation’, working as a landman in oil, gas, and geothermal areas. All of this she accomplished even as she raised 2 beautiful children, educated them, and watched them grow in their own endeavors. Her family was the pride and light of her life. Carol maintained close contact with her siblings, often traveling together. She was a lifelong tennis player, placing 2 nd at the USTA National Championship in 2009. She was a resolute Texan, even after 30 years of life in Boise.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Orbon Tice, mother, Laurie Tice, brother, Joe Tice, and sister, Cathy Higgins and her brother-in-law, Art Wiebusch. She is survived by her children, Benjamin Davis, and Rebecca Harpham, her son-in-law, Blake Harpham, her sisters, Emily Tice & wife, Celine Caithamer, and Cindy Wiebusch, her brother-in-law, Don Higgins, and numerous nephews and nieces. Sadly, Carol’s only grandchild, Emma Carol, was born just a month after she passed away, but we will all be certain she knows what a wonderful grandmother Carol would have been.
Memorials in Carol’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Services will be under the direction of Bowman Funeral Home in Boise, Idaho on October 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
