Calvin Walker was born September 5, 1943, in Roberts, Idaho, the son of Gerald and Blanche Campbell Walker. He grew up in Lewisville, Idaho, graduating from Rigby High School in1961.

Calvin was a hard worker and decided to become a mechanic and heavy equipment operator.  He joined the Idaho Army National Guard in March of 1964 and served until 1969, qualifying as a sharpshooter in the M14 and M16 rifles.  He trained in heavy equipment operation and was called into active duty in the Army in May of 1968.  He served in Viet Nam for over a year, driving a 10 ton transport and a D-7 dozer.  After arriving in country his unit spent several weeks convoying equipment and materials to the highlands of Viet Nam.  Then he alternated with his buddy Craig Nielsen either convoying the transport to and from the south up to the highlands or operating the dozer to set up the camp.

When he was discharged, he returned to eastern Idaho and there met Bonnie Barlow.  They married in Homedale, Idaho, on November 27, 1970.  They settled on Jump Creek Road and began their family.

Their oldest daughter, Brenda, was born in 1971 and died in an accident in 1975.  Melanie was born in 1972, Vance in 1976, Alison in 1977 and Sarah in 1979.

They lived on Jump Creek Road for nearly 50 years then moved into Homedale where Bonnie passed away in 2022.  Calvin enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Calvin is predeceased by his parents, his wife Bonnie, his daughter Brenda and his grandson, Mason Price.

He is survived by his daughter Melanie Walker (Price), son Vance, and daughters, Alison (Tom) Bicandi and Sarah (Tom) Nothnagel.  In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Brodee, Blake, Brock, and Bradley Walker, and Lucas, Colton and Grace Bicandi, and a great grandson, Braxton Walker.
