Bryan Scott Mead

July 29, 1985 — May 12, 2026

Boise

Born in Boise, Idaho in 1985, Bryan grew up on Oahu, Hawaii alongside his parents, Scott and Darci Mead, and his younger brother, Devan. The islands became part of who he was — in his cooking, his laughter, his warmth, and the way he made people feel welcome wherever he went.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Annalisa; his stepdaughter, Eleyna; his son, Anthony; his daughter, Liyah; his mother Darci; and his brother, Devan and his half-sister Suzanne Guinn. We lost Scott in January of 2020.

Bryan graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance, but what many people knew and loved him for was bartending. Not just any bartender, but the bartender who would “put the wet stuff in the cup,” as he always joked. He was the person people looked forward to seeing at the end of a long day — someone who remembered your name, listened without judgment, made you laugh, and somehow made life feel lighter for a little while.

His Old Fashioneds became legendary to so many, but it wasn’t just the drinks that kept people coming back. It was Bryan. His ability to meet people exactly where they were, to connect with them, and to make everyone around him feel important is what made him unforgettable.

At home, though, Bryan was simply Dad.

He was the dad playing catch with Anthony in the backyard, the dad lifting Liyah high enough to touch the ceiling, the dad taking his kids to the park to ride bikes and scooters. He made the best chicken katsu and Spam musubi, bringing the flavors of Hawaii and his love for family into every meal he made.

And he was also a husband. Though life sometimes took different turns, Bryan always did his absolute best in all the ways that mattered most to keep his family together. He remained a best friend, a source of love, laughter, and support through it all.

Bryan will be deeply missed for his larger-than-life presence, his island cooking, his unmistakable laugh, and the love he gave so freely to the people around him. His memory will live on in every shared story, every raised glass, every laugh among friends, and in the hearts of the family he loved most.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
