Brian Shelby Carson

Brian Shelby Carson was born October 12, 1976 and passed peacefully on April 20, 2023. At a young age he began playing the piano. After playing a piece of music only once or twice he would put the music away and play from memory. This talent grew as he did. He often composed his own music and taught himself how to play the guitar. He had a lovely singing voice and sang in the Kiwanis Boys Choir for several years. He later, with his brother and good friends played in a band mostly playing keyboard. Brian was an avid scouter earning his Eagle Award at the age of 15. He spent one full summer at scout camp as a junior leader. He was a member of Baden Powell and Order of the Arrow. He also was a life guard at Borah Pool for several summers.  Brian had a large group of friends in high school and was often found “dating as a group” which he loved. Brian graduated from Borah High School in 1994. While there he was on the swim team and earned his Varsity Letter in that sport. He was a nearly straight A student and took many AP classes. He graduated from Seminary and held the office of a Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brian had a great sense of humor and was always looking for ways to help others. He was kind, gentle, loving and had a huge heart. He is missed so much by his family and friends.

Brian is survived by his mother Lesli K May, step-Father Michael S May, Father Philip K Carson, Step-Mother Merry Kuyper-Carson, siblings Kevin A Carson (Jadee L Carson), Amber D Davidson (Nicholas J Davidson), Caralice M May, Taylor F Carson (Samantha K Carson), Son Kaden I Carson, Nieces Baylee J and Tea’ F Carson (Kevin), Sienna Davidson (Amber), Eliana Carson (Taylor), nephews Gabriel C Carson (Kevin), Jasper Davidson (Amber), Grand-parents Craig Mickelson (Sherri Mickelson), Carole Dworak, and Alice May, and numerous friends and extended family members.  He was preceded in death by Grand-parents Philip Carson, Wanda Carson, and Curtis May.
