Brandon Lee Johnson, 40,  of Boise,  passed January 3, on after a decade long battle with alcohol dependency.

Brandon was welcomed into the world on August 15th, 1983, to Rheta Clingan and Mark Johnson. He was an active child with a love for adrenaline and was often seen riding his bike over a variety of homemade jumps in the neighborhood. As a young teen he played baseball, football and had a knack for flying high in motocross and BMX.

While Brandon was an avid animal lover, he was especially fond of dogs and possessed the ability to quickly gain the trust and melt the heart of any canine.

Despite his many struggles, he remained unshaken, and always knew what to say to make someone laugh and lighten the mood. His unique sense of humor and infectious laugh will echo through our memories.

Brandon is survived by his daughters- Kaydence and Reese Johnson, Parents- Rheta Clingan and Mark Johnson, his maternal siblings- Krista and Lillie Atkinson, paternal siblings- Katelyn Valdez and Austin Johnson and his maternal Grandmother- Linda Ryska.

He was blessed to have a large extended family including step-parents- Bonnie Johnson, James “Randy” Atkinson and Scott Clingan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is proceeded in death by two grandfathers, a grandmother and two siblings.

To the sibling not mentioned- Brandon wanted you to know, it was absolutely personal.

With respect to Brandon’s wishes, no ceremony will be held and we instead ask for donations to be made in his honor to McPaws Animal Shelter of Valley county.
