Bradley Robert Smith, born on March 28, 1964, in Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on September 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Brad was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a gentle, kind soul and a devoted caretaker to his family, always putting their needs first with unwavering love and compassion.
Brad graduated from Borah High School in 1982 and went on to attend Boise State University. On July 3, 1997, he married the love of his life, Dawn Holden Smith, with whom he shared twenty-seven wonderful years of marriage.
Brad dedicated the last sixteen years of his career to Cover Tech, where he worked alongside a wonderful group of colleagues. Prior to that he was employed at Marrs, contributing his skills and talents to both companies.
He was a man of many talents and hobbies, including building and playing guitars, building bicycles, golfing, gardening, playing music, and reading. His passion for craftsmanship and creativity was evident in everything he did.
Brad is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Holden Smith of Boise; his mother, Mary Ann Smith of Boise; and his father, Robert "Bob" Smith (Karen Brady Smith) of Kent, Washington; brother Craig Smith; sisters Kara Hetherington (Jared Hetherington) and Laura Brudenell (Logan Brudenell); nieces and nephews Joshua and Julie Hetherington; Sarah and Aiden Brudenell. He leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, the Holden-Zachery family members, and many dear close friends.
Brad's life was a testament to love, creativity, and perseverance. His gentle spirit, caring heart, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday September 25, 2024, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City.
