Bonnie Frances Riewald, 71, of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully. She was born on August 19, 1954, in Santa Maria, California, to H.G. Riewald and Millie (Kuhnen) Riewald.
Bonnie spent her early years in Santa Maria, where she graduated from Righetti High School. She continued her education at Allan Hancock Community College before attending Chico State University. Throughout her life, Bonnie called both Santa Maria, California, and Boise, Idaho, home.
Bonnie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved arts and crafts, enjoyed riding her bicycle, and cherished time spent at the beach. She was an active participant at the Meridian Senior Center, where she formed many friendships and enjoyed spending time with others. Bonnie was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where her faith provided strength and comfort throughout her life.
Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Lori Garratt; her nephew, Kenny Garratt; her nieces, Heather (Sam) Barnes and Kimberly Garratt; her great-niece, Savannah Barnes; and another great-niece expected to arrive in late October. She also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.G. Riewald and Millie (Kuhnen) Riewald; her brothers, Larry Riewald and Brian Riewald; two aunts and uncles; and her cousin, Margie.
Bonnie will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, creative nature, and the love she shared with those around her. Her family and friends will miss her deeply, but they find comfort in the many happy memories they shared with her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2026, at Euclid Community Church-Nazarene, 1319 S. Euclid Ave., Boise, Idaho. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Bonnie's life and the lasting impact she made on those who knew and loved her.
