Bonnie J. Blancher was born January 11, 1960 to Dolores and Paul Wall in Boise, Idaho, the youngest of 4 children. She married Len Blancher Jr. on December 8, 2000. Bonnie passed away on March 14, 2019 with Len by her side.
For many years Bonnie and her mom delivered newspapers every day. She was employed by Trinity Home Care for many years, providing quality care for numerous clients, many of whom became personal friends. While working at Trinity, Bonnie was nominated and received recognition for being Employee of the Year. She had a thirst for knowledge and loved learning new things. While Bonnie’s work was important to her, her most valued treasure was her family. Family outings, holidays (especially Thanksgiving and Christmas), sleep-overs at her sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s after watching a football game, barbecues and spending time with her sister Jo were Bonnie’s favorite things.
Bonnie loved reading, gardening, camping with family and friends, fishing and Country music. Two highlights for her were getting backstage passes for Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban concerts and meeting two of her favorite artists. For many years Bonnie and Len had a tremendous garden, made delicious salsa , which she shared with family and friends. She was a very strong, resourceful person and has been described by those who knew her as easy going and accepting of all.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Len Blancher, brothers Steve Wall (Kay), Dave Wall (Pat Carter), sister JoMeta Spencer (Dave) and granddaughter, Autumn Stetter. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and special friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Paul Wall.
The family would like to thank Dr. Groundland, Dr. Lorimer, PA Robert and Dr. Mendenhall of Salt Lake City for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Bonnie and for making her feel she was a part of their family. They would also like to thank the staff at Avamere Transitional Care and Rehab Facility in Boise and Signature Hospice in Nampa.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 19th at 11:00 am at Dry Creek Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held following the services at Connie & Brad Varland’s home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for Bonnie’s headstone. Donations may be sent to Jo Spencer, 23766 Winding Edge Rd, Middleton, ID 83644.
