Bob McGuire
(1957-2023)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob McGuire, a devoted father, brother, and outdoorsman, who left this world on October 2, 2023. Bob’s life was a testament to his unwavering passion for fishing and the great outdoors. He was a resident of Boise, Idaho.
Born January 2, 1957, Bob’s love for the serene beauty of Idaho’s wilderness was evident from an early age. His affinity for the outdoors only deepened with time, leading him to explore the pristine lakes and rivers that the Gem State had to offer. Whether it was casting his line into the tranquil waters of the Boise River or venturing into the rugged mountains of Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, Bob’s connection with nature was truly unparalleled.
Bob was not only a master angler but also an advocate for conservation. He instilled his profound respect for the environment in his two sons, Jason and Gordon, passing on not only his fishing skills but also the importance of preserving the natural world for future generations.
In times of joy and sorrow, Bob found solace in the company of his brother, Sid, who shared his love for the Idaho wilderness and was a frequent companion on their outdoor adventures.
As Bob embarks on his journey to the great beyond, he reunites with his late brothers, Ken and Ted, along with his beloved parents, Lois and Delbert. In their presence, the spirit of the McGuire family continues to shine brightly.
Bob McGuire’s legacy is one of appreciation for the simple joys of life and a profound connection to the natural world. His memory will live on through the ripples on the water, the rustle of leaves in the forest, and the stories told around campfires.
Rest in peace, Bob McGuire, and may you forever cast your line in the tranquil waters of eternity.
