Billy "Bill" Allen Caster

June 1, 1943 — December 18, 2025

Boise

Bill Caster was born on June 1, 1943 in Twin Falls, Idaho and passed away at home on December 18, 2025 in Boise, Idaho.

Bill, known to many as Uncle Bill, was quick-witted and loved to banter with people. He often kicked out zingers and kept everyone entertained. On his softer side, he had a heart of gold. If someone needed help, he was always there to provide assistance at a moment’s notice.

One of Bill’s many loves was karaoke singing. You would often find him in the vicinity of a karaoke machine waiting with excitement to belt out his favorite tunes. And once he had the microphone, it was very hard to get it back.

A passionate supporter of Boise State University, he was a season ticket holder for the men’s basketball team and loved to go to games to root them on. He also loved to discuss anything Boise State and would often spend an afternoon watching old Boise State football bowl games.

Many thanks to the wonderful team of doctors at the Veterans Hospital, the hospice team from Keystone and family members that made his final days on Earth restful and pain free.

Bill’s last wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest in the columbarium wall niche at the Idaho Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. His wishes will be honored with a ceremony at the cemetery on Friday, June 26th followed by his urn being sealed in the wall niche.

If so inclined, please donate to a veterans cause in his name such as Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warrior Project, or a local veterans organization in your area. The assistance from the VA throughout his life was immeasurable.

Rest in peace my sweet Dad. You deserve it. I know you are with loved ones who have passed and are now enjoying your time with them. I am quite sure you and Dan have landed yourselves on the naughty list already! Till we meet again. I love you and miss you, Kit
