Beverly Joan McWhirter
Beverly Joan McWhirter passed away on February 12, 2022 in Boise, Idaho, one week shy of her 90 th birthday.
Beverly was born February 20, 1932 in Ontario, OR to Robert Jean Burdette and Dottie Bell Cantrall. She grew up in Round Valley, Idaho attending a single-room school during her early years. Later she moved to Boise, ID to attend Boise High School and lived in the Boise area the remainder of her life. She married Richard McWhirter in 1958 and together raised a family of seven children on a farm west of Boise.
One of Beverly’s greatest joys in life was gardening on their six acre hobby farm. She loved collecting poems, sayings and inspirational quotes. Every card Beverly sent was sure to include one she loved. She was also a musician, and after her children were grown joined her friends in a band playing at retirement centers and sharing the old songs they loved to hear.
Beverly’s number one priority was her family. She loved sharing stories and memories, and teaching the importance of passing on traditions. She had a great love for each grandchild, bringing her so much joy.
Beverly had an unwavering testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. She had a deep love for the scriptures and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Preceded in death was her husband Richard McWhirter, daughter Trisha Mosher, and granddaughter Erin Vincent.
