Betty Lou Donnelley, 87, a resident of Boise, passed away May 26, 2026, in Boise.
Betty was born December 10, 1938, in Boise, Idaho, to George and Thelma Stonebraker Tomlinson.
Betty was raised and educated in Boise, Idaho.
She married Bruce M. Donnelley on June 27, 1959, at St. Michae’s Episcopal Cathedral in Boise, Idaho, and resided there.
Betty was the national sales coordinator for station KNTV-television in San Jose, California from 1960-1962. She worked as a media buyer for J. Walter Thompson Advertising in San Francisco, California from 1962-1964. She was the sales coordinator for Radio-Keith-Orpheum General Broadcasting in San Francisco, California from 1964-1968. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Idaho Legislation in Boise, Idaho from 1968-1975. She was the founder and owner of Etc. Advertising & Public Relations in Boise, Idaho from 1976-1983. She was also the owner of Estate Sales Management in Boise, Idaho from 2004-2023.
She has been listed as a noteworthy advertising and public relations executive by Marquis Who’s Who. She was the recipient of Best Radio Programming Award Idaho State Broadcasters from 1984-1985.
Betty’s hobbies include needle work, bike riding, reading and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Sam) Morgan, of Boise, Idaho, her son Alexander Donnelley, of Austin, Texas, her granddaughter Sarah (Shakey) Doe-Williams, of San Jose, California, her nephew Peter (Jackie) Stonebraker, of Novato, California as well as many other family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bruce M. Donnelley, in 2012, and her son Scott E. Donnelley, in 1984
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at St. Michael’s Episcopal Cathedral, 518 N. 8th St. in Boise.
Donations in Betty’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
