Bert passed peacefully on from this life and into the next at the age of 83. He never lost his sense of humor, his warmhearted smile, or his longing for McCall Idaho! His wife Bonnie, and sister Patricia, preceded him in death A loving father to daughters, Tami, Tori, and Tobi. A proud grandfather to Mitchell, Jacob, Mallory and Rachel. Bert is also survived by other relatives, some ”good old friends,” and cherished a special relationship with his brother Art.
He will be fondly remembered as an advocate for justice, by working as a Detective for the El Dorado County Sheriff’s office. Changing the California landscape with his excavation business, and proudly serving time in the US Army. Bert will be buried at the VA Cemetery, in the city where he was born, Boise, Idaho.
