Berniece Killian, 85, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2023 surrounded by family after a short illness.
Berniece was born in Weiser, Idaho in 1938, the youngest of three daughters born to Leonard and Clara Hamilton. After moving to Boise as a child she grew up in the North End and attended Boise High School. She then married James R. Killian and had 6 kids.
Berniece is survived by her children, Lorrie (Jim), Linda, Shari, Gene (Susan), Dawn (James) and Kari and her bonus daughter Tammie Miller. Her extended family also included Maxine Killian, Kevin (Cathy) and KaLyn Crawford (Galen). Berniece had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren. She loved all the children around her and was very proud of each of them. She loved holding and playing with the babies, and was always singing a children’s song to them.
A celebration of life will be held in Meridian on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 2:00 at Fuller Park. Berniece’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
