Bellatrix "Bella" Meeks

Bellatrix “Bella” Meeks, lovingly known as “Bella Bee,” passed away at home on October 9, 2026, at four years old. She was held in her mama’s arms, surrounded by the love of her Mimi, Gigi, dad, Aunt Maddy, and Uncle Nick.

Born on July 7, 2022, Bella brought more love and joy into this world than words could ever describe. With her beautiful brown hair, blue eyes, and heartwarming smile, she was her mama’s sunshine and her family’s precious baby girl.

Bella lived with Trisomy 18, defying the odds and continually showing everyone her strength and determination. Her personality shone through in everything she did—from her comforting snuggles to her stubborn moments during therapies. She did things in her own time and her own way, and her family cherished every part of who she was.

Bella did not need words to let her people know she loved them. Her expressions, her smiles, and the closeness she shared with those around her said more than words ever could. Every moment with her was a gift, and four years could never have been enough.

Bella leaves behind her mother, Rilee Vanlom; her father, Michael Meeks; her brothers, Nathaniel and Oliver; and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends who will love and miss her forever.

Her passing leaves an ache that words cannot explain. A piece of her mama’s heart went with her, but Bella will forever be her baby girl. Her family will continue speaking her name, sharing her stories, and making sure her beautiful life is remembered.

Bella’s family would like to give a special thank-you to her wonderful nurse, Doreen, for the love, kindness, and dedicated care she gave Bella. She held a special place in Bella’s life and will always be part of her story.

Our sweet Bella Bee, you will never be forgotten. You are loved beyond measure and missed beyond words. Until we meet again, baby girl.

A celebration of Bella’s life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 23, 2026, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City.
