Barbara Morrison passed away peacefully at home on June 12th, 2025, after courageously fighting a long battle of stage four brain cancer. At her time of passing she was surrounded by her life partner Luciano Sr., and her children Arica, Sara, and Luciano Jr. All of which were devoted to providing peace, comfort, and encouragement.
Born in Ventura, California, Barbara spent the beginning of her adult life living in Oregon and California, and finally ending up in Meridian, Idaho. She worked a wide range of jobs throughout her life to support her role as a mother and head of household. Some of her most memorable jobs include Idaho Statesman newspaper carrier, college student counselor, city bus driver, and proud non-profit college bookstore owner. No matter the job, she always made being a devoted and selfless mother her top priority.
She loved 80’s music…especially Prince! Singing, road trips, movies, and family snack runs we some things that brought her joy…but what brought her the most joy were her children, and beautiful grandchildren Abbigail and Olivia. Barbar had a bold spirit, and sharp tongue, and a heart that never stopped fighting for the people she loved. She stood her ground, spoke her truth and made an unforgettable impact on everyone she met.
Though her life was never easy, Barbara gave her children the kind of love, strength, and care that made anything feel possible. She encouraged them to chase life fully – travel, careers, sports, friendships, experiences – because she knew what it meant to grow up without those chances, and she gave her all to make that happen.
To know Barbara was to witness courage in its rawest form. She was not only a mother, but a grandmother, a daughter, a little sister, and a loyal friend. She embodied the beauty of unshakable love with the most tender heart. Although she is no longer with us, her strength, love and wisdom live on in all of us. May she rest in peace.
