Barbara Jean (Lottman) Moncarr, 79, of Meridian, ID., went to be with her Lord on May 29, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Barbara was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death.

Barbara was born to Ferdinand and Cena Lottman on March 26, 1945, in Beatrice, Nebraska. She attended school in Beatrice, graduating in 1964, from Beatrice High School. Barbara married Ernest L. Moncarr on September 9, 1967, at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. After Ernest returned home from Vietnam, they were stationed at Hickam AFB in Hawaii. On January 20, 1971, they were blessed with the birth of their only son, Mark. After Ernie completed his service in Hawaii, they transferred to Mountain Home AFB in Boise, ID. Ernie retired from the Air Force, and they made Boise their home.

Barbara was employed by Boise Cascade for 30 years as a legal assistant, retiring at an early age. Barbara was a member of the Meridian United Methodist Church. She particularly enjoyed her trips and spending time with her family in Nebraska. Barbara was an avid Husker fan, and she followed the KC Chiefs and KC Royals. She had an abundance of love for all animals, especially her fur babies, Libby and Emma, who remain at home.

Barbara is survived by her husband Ernie, and son Mark, both of Meridian, ID; sister Sharon (Ernie) Bryson of Beatrice, NE; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Delores Lottman, Elaine Mick and Lillian Cook; brother Lavern Lottman and his wife Jo.

Cremation has taken place and Barbara will return to Nebraska where she will rest in peace at the Wymore Cemetery in Wymore, Nebraska. A burial of the remains and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
