Audrey Claire Terra, lovingly known as Mimi by her grandchildren, passed away on March 3 rd , 2025, in Eagle, Idaho, after a courageous, over two-decade long battle with breast cancer. True to her nature, she defied every expectation, fighting tirelessly to get more time with those she loved.

Born on April 3 rd , 1935, in Pennsylvania, Audrey had an adventurous spirit from the start. In the 1950s, she set out in her VW Beetle on a cross-country road trip with her sister, Edna, stopping in every ski town along the way. When she reached Sun Valley, Idaho, she knew she had found home. Her journey could have taken her anywhere, but Sun Valley captured her heart—and soon after, so did her husband, Jim Terra. They met in Ketchum, and embarked on a life full of adventure together, living in Arizona and California before returning to Idaho to raise their family.

Audrey was a devoted mother and a beloved grandmother who filled her home with warmth, laughter, and a never-ending supply of puzzles, card and board games, breakfast waffles, and her signature Chex Mix. She had a passion for skiing, dancing, walks with her youngest grandkids, classic films, Scrabble, pinochle, and, above all, spending time with her family. Her door was always open, and she was considered a second mother, trusted confidant, and good friend to those fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her stepchildren, Richard Terra, Mickey Terra, and Colleen Terra; her sister, Helen Scanlon; and her parents, Meryl and Mary Piper. She is survived by her children, Nicole (Lonnie) Morris, Jennifer Terra, Joey (Jacqui) Terra, Jimmy (Kirsten) Terra; her step-children, Mary (Tony) Terra-Berns and Linda Terra; her grandchildren, Sierra (Brady) Falk, Jordan (Alex) Morris, Kiley Morris, Kensie Terra, Blaise Terra, Jace Terra, and Eloise Terra; her step-grandchildren, Patrick Terra and Christopher Terra; her cherished grand-animals and great-grand-animals, Luna, Bob, Wenona, Albie, Sonya, Puck, Gatsby, Walrus, Fawks, Cleo, Chandos, Lily, Zoey, Nelly, Gnash, and Rosie; and her many siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Audrey’s zest for life, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the mountains she loved, the family she adored, and the many lives she touched along the way. In lieu of flowers, she kindly requested donations be made to an organization near and dear to her family, Stella’s Shelter Fund, an animal welfare nonprofit founded by her daughter, Jennifer.
