Ashley Lyn Perkins

September 19, 1985 — January 3, 2026

Boise

Under a Full Wolf Moon, surrounded by her loving family, on January 3, 2026, Ashley Perkins (Grose), 40, of Boise, ID, passed away.

A little over three years after being diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer, her earthly body surrendered. If cancer was a fight that could be won with grit, strength, resilience, love, hope, resourcefulness or prayers - she would’ve been healed.

Ashley came into this world quickly on September 19th, in Boise, to John and Shelley Grose. She was very close to both of her parents all throughout her life. Her cancer journey became theirs; she never attended an appointment alone. During her final month of life they never left her side. She was and forever will be, the perfect little sister to her siblings, Anthony and Allison.

At a young age, Ashley developed a fondness for horses that became a lifelong passion. At the age of 12 she was gifted a ‘real-life My Little Pony’, a two year old mare, Babe. Babe and Ashley rode in parades, hustled in barrel racing and shared a lifetime together. Their beauty, stubbornness and resiliency was matched but somehow, that horse outlived her!

Ashley was in the very first graduating class from Mountain View High School (2004) and later achieved her college degree from the College of Southern Idaho in Veterinary Technology (2008). It was during her college years when she met her life partner, Tyrel. A charming barn wedding in 2009 solidified their commitment to each other. Their vows were tested significantly and early. Her family is very appreciative and proud of Tyrel’s unwavering love and care during good and bad times.

In 2012, their union brought a perfect, sweet baby girl, Haegan, into the world. In 2017, Wyatt completed their family and brought with him so much joy and energy. Ashley lives on in their big hearts, unique spirits and numerous talents.

Ashley loved traveling to new and known places. She especially loved trips to the Oregon Coast and many isolated spots in Idaho. She was happiest outdoors with her family. Ashley was gifted with many talents including hunting, fishing, cake decorating and general artistry and crafts. Cancer took away mobility in her right arm which significantly impacted her quality of life and ability to express and enjoy her talents and hobbies. It brings us peace to know she is no longer physically limited. If fishing is a thing in heaven, she’s doing it!

Ashley is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Tyrel Perkins, and their two cherished children, Haegan (13) and Wyatt (8). She is also survived by her devoted and dutiful parents, John and Shelley Grose. Also surviving her is her brother, Anthony Grose (Noel), her sister, Allison Maroun (Vince), her nephew Gus, her grandmother, Lois Herr of Nampa and her in-laws Sarah and Vern Perkins of Shoshone. Ashley is also survived and held up in prayer by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and family friends. Lastly, her devoted dog, Sage, and her horse, Babe.

She is welcomed into heaven by her grandmother, Ruth, her grandfathers and some good dogs.

The mountains are calling…

To remember and celebrate her life, the family is planning a gathering of friends and family to be held at a later date.
