Ashlay Dawn Taskar, 31, of Boise, passed away May 5, 2024, of cancer. Ashlay was born, September 25, 1992, in Portland, Oregon to mother, Shona L. (Dunn), and father, Daniel Taskar. Ashlay lived in Portland, Oregon until moving to Meridian, Idaho in 2009. She attended Mountain View High School for the beginning of her high school career, before graduating from Rocky Mountain in 2011.
Ashlay had many hobbies. She loved playing Pokémon, watching YouTube videos, playing video games, collecting Hello Kitty, playing with building blocks and watching all Disney movies. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her family.
She is survived by her parents Daniel and Shona Taskar; her siblings, Sabrina (Dino) Rael and Mark Taskar; Uncles, Jody (Brandy) Dunn, Ryan Dunn, and Jeremiah (Joanna) Lee; Aunts, Faydra Dunn, and Tawnya (Richard) Camario; nephews, Dino, and Aidden Rael; niece, Phoebe Rael; cousins, DaNelle Rivera (Elijah, Manuel, & Isabella Rivera), Heather Dowell (Haylee, Shaydin, Athena, & Maximus Anderson), Sandra (Tim) ( Jakoda, & Jasper) Heuer, Brooklynn Davis, Cassie Dunn, Tristan Dunn, Dominik Dunn, Michelle Rowlett Carlson and Taylor Dunn; and step grandparents Karen (Tim) Dunn.
Ashlay is preceded in death by her grandfather, Randy K. Dunn; Auntie Joanie Jones; great grandmother, Alene Bond, and Robert E. Bond; grandmother, Sandra Ennis (Ramsey); great grandfather, Lloyd E. Ramsey.
In honor of Ashlay, the family requests everyone attending the service please wear red, as that was her favorite color.
A memorial service will be held, 2:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2024 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City.
