Arvid R. Thompson

Arvid R Thhompson passed away on November 23,2025 at the age of 92

He was born on January 21,1933 in San Pedro, California

He was a Veteran of the Koren Conflict era and Peacetime he served in the Air Force from May 13,1952 to April 2,1955 reaching the rank of Airman 2nd class, AFRes

He was assigned to the 84th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, and Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force 12th day of May 1960

Arvid is survived by his wife Claudia, his sons Richie, Terry and his brother Darryl, daughters-in-law, Kathy, Lorna. He also leaves behind many beloved grand and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Compass Bible Church, 6151 N. Discovery Way, in Boise, with a committal service, with military honors to follow at 2:00 pm, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd. in Boise.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
