Arthur (Art) Orville Rabehl passed away on June 26, 2024,

Arthur was born on December 3, 1938 to Arthur and Mildred Rabehl in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. In 1948, when Art was nine, the family moved to Boise, Idaho. Later the family moved to Mountain Home where he graduated from high school.

He met the love of his life Sandra Rynearson on a blind date. They were married on March 30, 1958 and had 4 children: Dale, Debora, David (Paula) and Daniel (Kären).

After Art and Sandy were married Art worked for Asphalt Paving and they both worked for Art’s parents at their motel and gas station.  While at the gas station Art met a fellow who convinced him to apprentice for the printing trade, which gave him the opportunity to work at Blue Cross of Idaho as printer, then department head, before retiring after 38 years.

He was a member of Pierce Park Grange for numerous years.  Art and his wife Sandy were charter members of Hope Lutheran Church. He was a regular attendee and usher of Hope until a month prior to his death when illness prevented him from attending.

Art loved farming, working the land and attending his animals. Art always wanted to build his own home, which became a dream come true when he and Sandy settled on their property in New Plymouth.  He agreed to be a Ditch Rider for the irrigation district and along the way met Ernie, who became a fast friend.

Art was preceded in death by his wife Sandra of 64 years; parents Arthur and Mildred; brother Orville; sister Vera; brother Ronald [d] (Patsy [d]).

He is survived by his sister Marilyn (Lester[d]) of Boise; sister De (Ed[d]) of Caldwell; 3 Grandchildren: Brian, Amber (Dave) and Schandis; 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson.  Plus many, many friends.
